A Bond of Vengeance (book 3 in the Sacred Bond Guardians series ) by Lee Tobin McClain

A wonderful suspense/romance about two dysfunctional people that through God’s help and leading find peace, direction and love.  Kendra is a social worker who has it in for the Biker gang that was responsible for her mother’s death. She takes a certain delight in removing their children from their homes, although the homes are unfit. Her coworker was shot and killed and many believe the bullet was meant for Kendra.  Jake is a war vet suffering from PTSD, who has recently turned his life over to the Lord. He fights his own battles, one of which is womanizing. He has a hard time with this.  Kendra’s  deceased brother was his close friend and the one who helped Jake turn his like around. He promised him that he would watch over Kendra and protect her. She does not trust him and does not want him near her, but he doggedly follows her everywhere, even moving into the same house. The author has created many strong believable characters in this novel, such as Kendra’s godly grandmother who was killed as a warning to Kendra, her sisters and her sister’s teenage son. The pastor, Lisa, former girlfriend of the leader of the Biker gang, even the leader himself. This is a page turner you will thoroughly enjoy, seeing God unravel and put together as only He can. I highly recommend this book.  It was my pleasure to read and review this book for the author.
