Fatal Frost (Defenders of Justice) by Nancy Mehl

This is book one in the Defender of Justice series and also a first one for me to read by this author. I was not disappointed. If you are looking for a great suspenseful, inspirational fiction book, then read Fatal Frost. This book has lots of twists and lots of action. The characters are very realistic and believable…….. Mercy Brennan is a U.S. Marshall and very distrusting of all except her childhood friend, Tally. Her mother became an alcoholic when her father left them when Mercy was a child. Mercy is very bitter and unforgiving of her father. She has not had an easy life, yet she is fiercely protective of her friend, Tally and even though her life hasn’t been easy, she is loyal, tough and doesn’t give up. Mark, her ex-boyfriend, also a U.S. Marshall, hasn’t given up on Mercy in spite of the fact that when he became a Christian, she pushed him away. Gangsters killed her father and as he was last seen with her, they believe he gave her a flash drive with a video that could bring down the gangs. Mercy, Tally and Mark go into hiding, on the way they are caught in a fierce snow storm and must be rescued. Is the guy who rescued them a cop or one of the gang? What ensues makes for a most suspenseful read, that you will not want to put down. Ms. Mehl has certainly wrote a mystery/suspense worth you obtaining and reading. T thoroughly enjoyed Fatal Frost………… This book was given to my by Bethany Publishers to read and review.
